Bea Sutter
I grew up in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley and lived there until a few years ago. In the seventies, I completed the graphic design course at the School of Design in St. Gallen. Alongside my family and my work as a journalist, artistic design has always had a firm place in my life. I have been able to present my work at several exhibitions. In 2015, I moved to Knonauer Amt for love and now have my own studio in Ottenbach. Since retiring, I have created numerous acrylic paintings in my retreat. I mostly create abstract compositions with colours and structures. The paintings are bright, friendly and usually intense in colour, as I want to please the viewer. I also like to paint naturalistic pictures, because there are so many wonderful subjects in nature that I realise through painting.
I am now looking forward to exhibiting together with Geri at the Hotel Belvedere. I have known Geri for many years, as he is a loyal participant in my painting courses, which I have been able to hold several times a year at the Hotel Belvedere for more than a decade. We have realised that due to our different painting styles and themes, our pictures complement each other perfectly in a joint exhibition.

Hans Germann
Drawing and painting were already my favourite subjects at primary school. But with a simultaneous interest in technology, I then earned my living as an engineer in industry. The heyday of drawing, painting, designing and travelling flared up when I retired. A favourite destination was South Africa, where my brother-in-law lived with his family. There I learnt how to draw and paint wild animals from Anita da Silva in Somerset West. At almost 80 years of age, I can gratefully say that my self-realisation has reached a high level.
My acrylic painting teacher Bea Sutter has also contributed to this in several courses. However, the «courage to be abstract» virus, as Bea teaches in her courses, has not yet infected me (as a technocrat) ...
I am convinced that our different works will bring an exciting flavour.
